Hong Kong pending the result of his appeal to the
Privy Council.

On 8th January, the Secretary of State tele-
graphed to the Governor that after having consulted
the Foreign Office, he considered that the appeal
of Nyugen to the Privy Council must proceed.

pending the result of the appeal.
The Governor replied on 19th January that

a fresh order under section 6 of the ordinange had
been made for Nyugen's deportation on a ship leaving
for Saigon on May 10th, that custody is legal until
that date and that the order could be varied to
suit the date of the decision of the Privy Council.
He asked that arrangements should be made for adequate
representation of the respondents on appeal.
